Inkoom: My agent never discussed my MLS move with Ghana media

Ghana national team player Samuel Inkoom has expressed his disappointment in the poor standard of journalism being practiced by a section of individuals in the Ghanaian sports media.

The DC United right back said recent stories in the Ghanaian media surrounding his alleged trade to another Major League Soccer (MLS) team — Houston Dynamo — have been factually inaccurate.

Wikimedia Ghana excited about MTN #WikiZero in Ghana

Ghana’s leading mobile operator, MTN, with the support of the Ministry of Education, has become the country’s first mobile operator to offer free access to Wikipedia as part of the Wikimedia Foundation’s global Wikipedia Zero initiative.

Ghanaian Lawyer in US asks African immigrants to take advantage of Obama Executive Order

The Law Office of Samira Sulemana has called on undocumented immigrants and their families living in the United States of America that intend to take advantage of President Obama’s recent executive order on immigration to seriously consider using the services of an immigration attorney.

Samira Sulemana, who is an Attorney at Law, said “hiring an attorney can make all the difference between being approved for your visa or being deported”. The US based lawyer says the Obama executive order will protect a lot of undocumented persons living in the USA illegally from the threat of deportation, as well as give them the opportunity to stop living in the shadows.

Liberian in USA praises Obama Ebola response, another mobilizes aid from Texas

Al Smith, a former federal contractor with the US Department of Justice and a Liberian immigrant has commended US President Barack Obama for the efforts made towards curbing the spread of the deadly Ebola virus in Liberia and other affected west African countries.

The US based Security Consultant, who has also worked for the US Department of Defense and the White House Visitors' Center as a federal contractor says he is really impressed by the level of medical, professional and logistical support given Ebola affected countries by the American government and people. He feels positive affected countries like Mali, Guinea and Sierra Leone can eventually win the fight against the disease.

Young Ghanaian professionals network in Washington DC

A group of young Ghanaian professionals in the metropolitan area of Washington DC in the United States congregated on Thursday October 30, 2014 to interact and network at Appioo Bar and Grill, a popular Ghanaian restaurant.

The gathering called GH-Mix was the Fall weather edition that was attended by a number of well placed professionals within the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia areas. There were a number of non-Ghanaians present too.

Planning Wikimedia Ghana Acquires a User Group Status

The Planning Wikimedia Ghana acquired a user group status and is now officially known as the Wikimedia Ghana User Group as of September 12, 2014. The application submitted by a group of Ghanaian editors of Wikipedia was reviewed and approved by the Affiliations committee of the body that is entrusted with advising the Wikimedia Foundation on approval of new affiliates.
