Zambia's Zone Fam take their brand of African Hip Hop to the world stage

The Republic of Zambia, one of Africa's landlocked countries in the southern hemisphere of the continent is experiencing a Hip Hop wave in its music industry. Leading this wave is one of the country's top Hip Hop group known as Zone Fam. In 2009 Zone Fam burst onto the African and Zambian music scene with their first mix tape which was produced by Nigerian Producer Teck-Zilla.

Akua Adoma Memorial Hope Foundation to create brain tumor awareness in Ghana

The family of the deceased Akua Adoma Ofori, a female Ghanaian teenage student who was flown to the USA to seek medical treatment for a tumor lodged in her brain has established a foundation; The Akua Adoma Memorial Hope Foundation, in her memory. The sole objective of the foundation will be to provide medical assistance to young children in need of critical surgery from complications in the brain. Akua passed away on July 24 2011, in Pennsylvania (PA) USA.

Ghana on its way to creating a recognized affiliate of the global Wikimedia Foundation

A group of Ghanaians under the inspiration of Rexford Nkansah; a student, are set to promote the dissemination of free knowledge and the use of online tools in education and the promotion of culture. In line with Wikimedia Foundation's strategic priorities, the team would also encourage and increased participation and contribution from Ghanaians to the various wiki projects.
