US Embassy in Ghana praises and respects Ghana for her peace

The Embassy of the United States Of America in Accra Ghana recently revealed to our blog here at #TheAfricanDream that as a result of a highly tensed atmosphere, it sent a message out to its citizens living in Ghana as part of an obligation to ensure that they are aware of the pending supreme court ruling and did that with no malice whatsoever. The court case had the flag bearer of the opposition; Nana Akuffo Addo challenging the legitimacy of the victory of the incumbent president--John Mahama.

Young poet speaks on his art and The African Dream

Oppong Clifford Benjamin is a poet who calls himself a proud citizen of the African Continent, he is originally from a village called Prestea in the Western region of Ghana. Oppong has been writing poetry since age 14 and his work has been noticed by other seasoned and young poets across Africa in countries like South Africa and Nigeria.

Planning Wikimedia Ghana supports first gathering of African Wikipedians

Executives of Planning Wikimedia Ghana have endorsed the formation of Wiki Indaba, a proposed project to organize a three day gathering of African wikimedians in South Africa from February 21-23, 2014. The objective of this gathering will be finding ways to increasing free knowledge about Africa on wikipedia and facilitate co-operation amongst African wikimedia chapters.

On August 2, 2013, Ghanaian boxer Sugar Ray 'The Emperor' Narh lost to 'The New' Ray Robinson at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark Delaware in his attempt to annex the vacant US Boxing Association (USBA) Welterweight belt.
